Nous n’avons pas très bien dormi, nous dormons mieux en bateau. Après une bonne douche, un bon shampoing et un bon déjeuner, nous prenons le bus à 9 h10 pour Athènes. Même route qu’en venant, par le Péloponnèse (voir carte). Nous arrivons à Athènes vers 14 h, prenons un bus pour le centre, puis le métro pour aller chez mon amie Raymonde que nous avions déjà visitée en juillet 2015. Nous passons une bonne fin d’après-midi ensemble, dinons à un restaurant italien, c’est le seul restaurant dans son quartier qui n’est pas désert puis dormons dans sa chambre d’ami. Le lendemain, nous volons vers la Norvège par Amsterdam.

La découverte de Hera II s’est très bien passée. J’étais sceptique au sujet de ce projet, j’avais peur que ce soit un bateau trop sportif pour moi, qui penche et qui me fasse peur. Mais non, Hera II est un bon bateau, lourd, sûr et sympathique. Nous nous sommes vite sentis chez nous et avons repris nos habitudes de « marins ». De plus nous avons eu beaucoup de chance avec le temps, calme, ensoleillé, beau et chaud. Nous avons apprécié les ports presque vides et l’ambiance relaxe des villages. Nous sommes heureux de faire partie du groupe de propriétaires et espérons utiliser le bateau l’année prochaine aussi.

We didn’t sleep well, we sleep better on the boat. After a good shower, a good shampoo and a good breakfast, we take the bus at 9:10 for Athens. Same route as when we came, by the Peloponnese (see map). We arrive in Athens around 2 pm, take a bus to the center, then the metro to go to my friend Raymonde we had already visited in July 2015. We spend a good afternoon together, dine at an Italian restaurant , it is the only restaurant in his neighborhood that is not deserted and sleep in her guest room. The next day we fly to Norway via Amsterdam.

The discovery of Hera II went very well. I was skeptical about this project, I was afraid it would be a too sporty boat for me, leaning and scary. But no, Hera II is a good boat, heavy, safe and friendly. We quickly felt at home and resumed our habits of "sailors". In addition we were very lucky with the weather, calm, sunny, beautiful and warm. We enjoyed the almost empty ports and the relaxed atmosphere of the villages. We are happy to be part of the group of owners and hope to use the boat next year too.

Dernière nuit à bord de Hera II, calme, du mauvais temps est annoncé mais plus tard dans l’après-midi. Nous faisons nos bagages, Jens va acheter du gaz et arranger tous les papiers pour sortir le bateau de l’eau. Je vais, à 9 h 10 (heure du départ de bus) à l’arrêt de bus en ville, pour être sûre que c’est le bon. Le bus arrive et c’est bien le bus pour Athènes, donc nous savons où le prendre demain. Nous partons en bateau pour la dernière traversée, 15 mn, du quai en ville au yard, en face. Spyros est là, mais il y a la queue pour sortir les bateaux de l’eau. C’est incroyable, trois yards sont côte à côte, et en tout ce sont plusieurs centaines de bateaux qui sont à terre. Jens et Spyros discutent technique, et moi, je vais chercher des bleus. Hera II est sortie de l’eau, lavée et emmenée à sa place. Le yard est immense et Jens doit faire la navette deux fois entre le bureau à l’entrée et le bateau pour arranger les papiers, bonne marche. Spyros part en moto et nous rentrons à Preveza en taxi, par le souterrain sous le bras de mer. Retour en ville à 14 h, déjeuner de « gyros », kebab grecque et café à l’intérieur dans un café sur le quai, il fait frais, gris et le vent s’est levé comme prévu. Puis sieste pour moi, jens lit les nouvelles sur Internet, et dernière promenade en ville. Preveza est une ville animée, 20 000 habitants nous a dit le chauffeur de taxi ce matin, qui a un grand port, une jolie plage et de petites rues pittoresques, une ville attachante. Diner au même restaurant qu’hier qui est plein, un lundi soir en novembre, surtout de jeunes couples 25-30 ans. Quand nous sortons, il pleut, heureusement l’hôtel est à 5 mn.

Last night aboard Hera II, calm, bad weather is announced but later in the afternoon. We pack, Jens buys gas and arrange all the papers to get the boat out of the water. I'm going at 9:10 am (bus departure time) to the city bus stop, to make sure it's the right one. The bus arrives and it is the bus to Athens, so we know where to take it tomorrow. We leave by boat for the last crossing, 15 minutes, from the dock in town to the yard, opposite. Spyros is there, but there is a queue to get the boats out of the water. It's amazing, three yards are side by side, and in all, there are several hundred boats on the ground. Jens and Spyros are discussing technique, and I go to look for blues. Hera II came out of the water, is washed and taken to her place. The yard is huge and Jens has to walk twice between the office at the entrance and the boat to arrange the papers, a good walk. Spyros leaves on a motorcycle and we return to Preveza by taxi, by the subway under the sea. Back in town at 2 pm, lunch of "gyros", Greek kebab and coffee inside a cafe on the quay, it’s cool, gray and the wind got up as expected. Then nap for me, Jens is reading the news on the Internet, and last walk in town. Preveza is a bustling city, the taxi driver told us the population is about 20,000 people, which has a big harbor, a pretty beach and pretty little streets, an endearing city. Dinner at the same restaurant than yesterday, it’s full, on a Monday evening in November, especially young couples of 25-30 years. When we go out, it’s raining, fortunately the hotel is 5 minutes away.

Très beau, un peu de vent du nord le matin, puis le vent tombe et la journée est magnifique. Grand rangement et ménage aujourd’hui, Jens s’occupe des outils, du Zodiac, des grosses choses et moi je fais le ménage. A 11 h 30, je vais faire des courses pour le lunch, presque tout est fermé, c’est dimanche. Mais je me rappelle du premier dimanche où nous étions ici, j’avais trouvé une boulangerie et un mini-market, et je retourne aux deux. Nous allons nous baigner, sans doute pour la dernière fois, la météo annonce du vent et un temps plus gris pour demain. Le même groupe de dames grecques que nous avions déjà vues se baignent, elles restent immobiles dans l’eau à discuter. Ells ne doivent pas avoir chaud, l’eau est à 19 ⁰. Nous marchons un peu le long de la plage qui est, en fait, assez longue et un parc d’eucalyptus la borde. Lunch au bateau, repos et deuxième promenade vers le nord. Nous longeons la mer, voyons le port de pêche puis rentrons dans les terres et allons à la station de bus pour réserver nos places pour Athènes mardi. Un bon tour de 5,5 km, plus les 3,5 ce matin, cela fait 9 km. Nous marchons beaucoup plus ici qu’à la maison. Retour, fin du ménage blog et diner au restaurant de bon poisson frais. Demain, nous mettons Hera II à terre.

Very nice weather, a bit of north wind in the morning, then the wind falls and the day is beautiful. Big cleaning today, Jens takes care of tools, the dinghy, big things and I do the housework. At 11:30, I go shopping for lunch, almost everything is closed, it's Sunday. But I remember the first Sunday we were here, I found a bakery and a mini-market, and I go back to both. We go to swim, probably for the last time, the weather forecast predicts wind and grey weather for tomorrow. The same group of Greek ladies that we had already seen is bathing, they remain motionless in the water and are talking. They must be cold, the water is 19 ⁰. We walk a little along the beach which is, in fact, quite long and a eucalyptus park borders it. Lunch at the boat, rest and second walk to the north. We walk along the sea, see the fishing port and then turn inland and go to the bus station to reserve our seats for Athens on Tuesday. A good walk of 5.5 km, plus 3.5 km this morning, it makes 9 km. We walk a lot more here than at home. Back, more cleaning, blog and dinner at a restaurant of good fresh fish. Tomorrow we put Hera II on land.
